April at Consentmo was about removing the guesswork β giving merchants a clear view of where their compliance stands, what customers in any location actually see, and finer control over messaging across US states.
Here's everything that shipped in April. π
Real-Time Compliance Score & Instant Fixes
The new Compliance Review gives you a live, 360-degree view of your store's compliance standing through a dynamic scoring system. Instead of manually auditing your setup or waiting until something breaks, you can now see exactly where you stand β and what it would take to improve.
The score is split into two numbers: your current compliance score and your potential score based on recommended fixes. The gap between the two tells you how much headroom you have and what's worth addressing first.
Recommendations are grouped by priority β High, Medium, and Low β across every active region in your setup. Rather than generic advice, each recommendation is specific to your configuration, so you know exactly what to act on and why it matters for that region.
One-click resolution buttons are built directly into each recommendation, so you can fix issues without leaving the review screen or digging through settings manually. The whole experience is designed to make compliance maintenance fast enough that it actually happens.

"Preview As" β Test Any Location Instantly
You can now see your cookie banner exactly as a visitor would β from any country or US state β without needing a VPN or switching devices.
The "Preview As" feature lets you select any region from a dropdown and instantly see how your banner renders for visitors in that location. This covers layout, language, consent type, and any region-specific behavior you've configured in Smart Geotargeting.
Alongside the preview, the tool surfaces alerts and one-click fixes specific to the region you're viewing. If something looks off or a setting is missing for that location, you can address it right there without navigating away. For merchants managing consent across multiple markets, this is a much faster way to QA your setup before issues reach real visitors.

State-Specific Banner Text for US States
US privacy law has always required a regional approach β California's CCPA requirements read differently from Texas or Florida, and one-size-fits-all banner copy creates compliance gaps that are easy to miss. This month, Consentmo added the ability to customize your cookie banner text at the individual US state level.
You can now write separate messaging for California, Florida, Texas, and other US states, all configured within your Smart Geotargeting settings. This means the language your visitors read on the banner can reflect the specific legal context of their state β whether that's opt-out language for California, or a different notice structure for another state with its own privacy law.

More from April
β‘ Faster Language Selection
You can now manage your banner's language directly within the Content tab, removing an extra step from the editing workflow and making language updates noticeably faster.
β° Custom Timezone Reporting
Consent records, analytics, and data exports can now be aligned to your local timezone. Set your preferred timezone from Settings and all reporting will reflect it consistently β no more mentally adjusting for UTC offsets.
π Precise Page Display Rules
Banner display logic now works in both directions. In addition to excluding specific pages, you can now choose to show your banner only on specific pages. This gives you exact control over where consent runs on your storefront.
π« State-Level Disable Options
For US merchants operating across multiple states, you can now either hide or completely disable the banner on a per-state basis. This adds a new layer of flexibility to how consent behavior is managed within Smart Geotargeting for US visitors.
π Accessibility Widget Performance Boost
The accessibility widget received performance improvements this month, reducing its load impact on storefront speed. It loads faster without affecting the shopping experience β consistent with the same performance-first approach behind the cookie banner improvements.
A Clearer, More Controlled April
April's updates share a common thread: giving merchants better visibility into their compliance setup and more precise control over how it behaves. The Compliance Score surfaces problems you didn't know you had. "Preview As" shows you what visitors actually experience. State-specific messaging closes a meaningful gap in US compliance coverage. And the smaller updates β faster language editing, timezone reporting, page-level display rules β sharpen the day-to-day experience of running compliance on a live store.
