Effortlessly Translate Your Cookie Bar with Consentmo's Set Language Feature

If your store is non-English, you would find our "Set Language For The Cookie Bar & Preferences popup" feature extremely useful. With this recent update, our premium users can translate the Cookie bar and Preferences popup into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese with a click of a button.

This is how the Cookie bar and Preferences popup texts look on the initial set of the app.

If you go to the Cookie Consent bar tab and scroll down you will see the Cookie Bar Settings and the Preferences Popup Settings. These texts can be manually translated, but now our premium users can also accomplish that automatically.

So, to translate the Cookie bar and Preferences popup, go to Translation tab > Set Language For The Cookie Bar & Preferences popup. There select the language you wish the texts to be changed into.

Note: Changing a language in this option will automatically change The Data Collection Text as well.

In addition, the text fields located in the Cookie Consent Bar tab should also automatically be changed to the language you have selected:

And with our newest update, the Cookie Information Panel will also be automatically translated with this option.

Do pay attention, if you have the metafields set up on your store manually, you would need to delete the code for the metafields from your theme.liquid file, in order to see the translation applied on the front-end. For more information, you can check FAQ71.

If you have added the code for the metafields from the button "Add metafields to theme.liquid" from the "Manage metafields codе" section in the Translation tab, you can go and remove it automatically by pressing the button "Remove metafields from theme.liquid".
