What is the Alt Text Manager by Consentmo?

The Alt Text Manager is an AI-driven tool built exclusively for Consentmo Enterprise users. It automatically audits your Shopify store for missing image alt text and uses your product data to generate descriptive, SEO-friendly tags in bulk.

Which images does the tool scan?

The tool provides full coverage across your entire store, including: Product Images; Collection Images; Blog Post Images.

How does the Alt Text Manager know what to write for my images?

The Alt Text Manager uses your existing store data to create contextually accurate descriptions. You can configure the AI to pull information from:
Product Titles: For clean, concise descriptions.
‍Product Descriptions: For richer, more detailed alt text.

Will the AI overwrite the alt text I’ve already written?

Not unless you want it to. By default, the "Only generate alt text for images that don't have alt text" setting is enabled. This ensures your manual SEO optimizations are preserved while the AI only fills in the "Missing" gaps.

Can I review the AI-generated text before it goes live?

Yes. Every image is displayed in a management table with a status badge (Missing, AI Generated, or Existing). You can use the Edit button on any row to manually refine or override the AI’s output.

How many images can I fix at once?

There is no limit. The "Generate all missing (#)" button allows you to fix hundreds or thousands of images across products, collections, and blogs with a single click.

Is the Alt Text Manager available on all Consentmo plans?

This feature is exclusive to the Consentmo Enterprise plan. It is not available on Free, Standard, or Plus plans.
