April has been a busy month at Consentmo. We’ve rolled out new features and updates designed to make privacy management easier and more flexible for Shopify merchants. Whether you're focusing on staying compliant with CCPA or looking for better visibility into how users interact with your store’s cookie banner, there’s something new for you.
In this blog, we’ll walk you through everything that launched in April—from the new “Do Not Sell” page generator to a redesigned Analytics tab. These updates are designed to help you meet legal requirements, improve your banner setup, and get clearer insights from your data.
New Features
🔹Do Not Sell Page (All Premium Plans)
If your store needs to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Consentmo now makes that much easier. With our new feature, you can generate a dedicated Do Not Sell page directly from within the app.
This page is built to meet the requirements of the CCPA. It explains to visitors how they can opt out of the sale of their personal data - particularly for advertising purposes. Merchants don’t need to write from scratch or deal with code. It’s a ready-to-use template that covers the necessary points.
We also provide a guide that walks you through adding this page to your store’s footer. That’s the placement regulators usually expect to see. Adding this link shows that your store respects user privacy choices and is taking steps to be transparent.
You can find this feature under Policies tab> Do Not Sell page.
🔹Introducing the All-in-One Compliance Center (All Plans)
Managing different privacy tools across various tabs can be time-consuming. That’s why we’ve added the Compliance Center - a new space inside the app that brings everything together in one place.
This section shows you all your compliance features at a glance. You’ll find your cookie banner settings, Google Consent Mode controls, and ad platform compliance tools in one view. You don’t need to guess which features are active. The interface clearly shows what’s completed and what still needs setup.
This makes it easier to keep track of your store’s current status. If there’s something missing in your privacy setup, the app will show you the gap so you can fix it quickly.
You can find this feature under Settings tab> Compliance Center.
🔹Button Order Customization for Cookie Banners (All Premium Plans)
Merchants have different strategies for how they want visitors to interact with consent banners. With this new feature, you can now change the order of the buttons on your cookie banner.
Want to place “Accept All” first? Or maybe lead with “Preferences”? You can do that from the Behavior tab. There’s no coding required. Just choose the layout you want from a dropdown, and the app will update your banner automatically.
This new option helps you test and find the best layout for your audience. You might notice a change in consent rates or interactions just by switching the order.
You can find this feature under Consent Banner tab > Behavior section.
One of the most requested features has arrived a better way to track how your store is doing in terms of privacy. With our new Analytics tab, you can now visualize your data more clearly and dive deeper into your metrics.
Here’s what you’ll see:
Consent rate trends: Find out how many visitors are accepting or rejecting cookies over time.
DSAR activity: Track how often visitors submit requests to access or delete their data.
Banner views and impressions: Understand how visible your banner is and how often it gets seen.
If you’re on a Premium plan, you also get advanced filters. This means you can break down metrics by location, device type, and even high-traffic pages. It’s a great way to spot patterns and adjust your store setup accordingly.
You can find this feature under the Analytics tab.
The Dashboard view has also been refreshed. You’ll now see:
Key privacy stats right at the top
Quick links to banner settings, reports, and customization pages
Interactive widgets that let you view progress and make changes faster
Together, the new Analytics tab and Dashboard update help you stay on top of how users are interacting with your consent tools.
You can find this feature in the main page of the Consentmo app.
Updates and Improvements
🔹Privacy Widget Update (Plus and Enterprise)
We’ve changed the location of the Privacy Widget to make it easier to find and adjust.
Previously, the widget was located in a separate settings area. Now it’s grouped with your other design tools, so everything is in one place when you’re styling your banner. This makes it easier to preview changes and keep the design consistent with your store theme.
The functionality remains the same. Your visitors can still use the widget to withdraw or change their consent at any time. You can display it as an icon or text, pick a position on the screen, and upload your own icon if you prefer a branded look.
You can find this update under Consent Banner tab > Design section.
🔹Integrations Rebuilt (All Plans)
We’ve reworked the Integrations section from the ground up. It now offers a cleaner view and a faster setup experience. You’ll find all available tools - like Google and Microsoft Consent Mode, TikTok Pixel, and Klaviyo - grouped in a single dashboard.
Here’s what’s new:
Centralized control over all integrations
Enable or disable services with just a few clicks
Step-by-step instructions built into each integration
No more switching tabs or wondering what’s connected. This update gives you a clear view of what’s active and how your store is communicating with other platforms.
You can find this update under Integrations tab.
🔹Default Banner Is Now called Essential
We’ve renamed our original banner style from “Default” to Essential. This is the banner many merchants have used since the early days of the app. It remains one of the most effective and widely adopted options in Consentmo. While this is a small change in name, it reflects the banner’s continued role as a core setup for stores focused on quick deployment and clear consent choices. You’ll see the new name reflected in the banner design settings throughout the app.
You can find this update under Consent Banner tab > Design section.
Wrapping It All Up
April’s updates bring both power and convenience to Consentmo users. From generating a Do Not Sell page to viewing privacy metrics in a fresh dashboard, every improvement is designed to help you manage your compliance setup with less friction.
The addition of the Compliance Center makes it easier to see everything at a glance. And the new Analytics tab gives you the insight needed to make better choices about how you present cookie banners or handle consent.
As privacy regulations grow and Shopify merchants continue to sell globally, these updates will help you keep up. If you haven’t explored the new features yet, open your Consentmo app and take a look. You might find new ways to improve your store’s setup or identify something small that needs attention.
And if you're ever unsure what applies to your region or which setup is best, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. We’re here to help you keep things clear, compliant, and in control.
