July has been a big month for Consentmo! We've rolled out new features and updates that make managing compliance even more practical, especially for merchants using Meta Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and IAB TCF 2.2.

This month’s improvements are focused on helping Shopify merchants get things done faster, with less confusion and more flexibility when it comes to setup, content editing, and layout options.

Let’s break down what’s new.

🔄 Feature: Meta Pixel Integration Is Now Plug-and-Play

If you’ve ever tried setting up Meta Pixel tracking with cookie consent tools, you know it’s often a headache. Too many scripts, unclear instructions, or a broken data flow between consent and ads.

We wanted to change that.

With Consentmo’s new Meta Pixel Integration, the process is now direct and clean.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to the Integrations tab inside Consentmo
  2. Select Meta Pixel
  3. Click Enable
  4. Paste your Meta Pixel ID

That’s it. The connection is ready, and the pixel is now respecting your store visitors’ consent choices. If someone declines marketing cookies, Consentmo holds back the pixel. If they accept, Meta gets the green light.

There’s no need to manually modify your theme or fiddle with multiple GTM tags. This is one less thing to worry about when running retargeting ads and a solid step forward for privacy-aware marketing.

✅ Update: Consentmo Is Now a Microsoft-Approved CMP

We’re proud to share that Consentmo is now officially approved by Microsoft as a Consent Management Platform (CMP).

What does that mean for you?

If you're running Microsoft Advertising (including Bing Ads), you’re now covered with Consentmo for:

  • Collecting consent in line with Microsoft’s privacy requirements
  • Supporting GDPR and CCPA rules through Microsoft’s UET tracking
  • Matching visitors’ consent choices with how ads are served

This approval brings Consentmo into the same circle as tools already required for Google Ads (via Consent Mode). So now you can cover both major ad platforms with one setup.

Already using Microsoft UET? You can now run it with confidence knowing your data use aligns with Microsoft’s updated ad policy.

⚙️ Update: A Simpler Path to TCF 2.2 Compliance

The IAB’s Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF 2.2) is required by many EU advertisers and tech platforms. But for merchants, the old setup could feel heavy - especially with all the jargon and locked settings.

We’ve now redesigned the entire TCF 2.2 section inside Consentmo to make it easier to understand and work with.

What’s changed?

  • A clear layout that shows your choices at a glance
  • Easier-to-navigate settings with step-by-step guidance
  • New banner design options (like color and style) so your consent banners don’t have to look off-brand
  • Non-editable settings are now marked and explained, so you’ll know which parts are handled by the system to follow the rules

The result? You now have more control over how the TCF setup looks and behaves while still following the framework’s rules.

If your store has traffic from the EU and you work with ad tech partners that require TCF, this update will make it much easier to stay compliant without feeling boxed in.

📄 Update: The Policies Tab Has Moved (and It Makes More Sense Now)

In case you missed it: the Policies tab has been moved into the Settings section.

Why? To make things easier to find and manage in one place.

This updated layout groups all related compliance tools together. So now, when you visit Settings, you’ll find:

  • DSAR Pages: For generating legal request pages by region (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.)
  • Customer Requests: Where you configure forms and track submissions
  • Do Not Sell Page: For California data rules (CPRA)

The actual tools haven’t changed - you still get everything that was under the old tab - but the navigation is now more logical. Less jumping between tabs, more work done in fewer clicks.

📝 Update: Real-Time Banner Text Editing Is Here

Before this update, editing your banner text could feel like guesswork. You’d tweak something, hit Save, reload the preview, and then figure out which part of the banner changed.

Now it’s much clearer.

When you edit any part of the Cookie banner or Preferences popup, you’ll see a blue highlight appear directly on the preview. It shows you exactly what part of the banner you’re editing in real time.

Whether you’re translating, shortening a sentence, or adding a CTA to one of your buttons, this update cuts out the trial-and-error process and shows your changes as you type.

🌐 Update: DSAR Page Language Selection Is Easier Than Ever

For merchants working in multiple regions or selling internationally, your compliance request pages need to be available in different languages.

This month, we’ve added a cleaner way to manage the language of your DSAR pages.

Here’s what’s new:

  • When you generate a DSAR page, you now get a dropdown menu right there in the editor to choose your desired language
  • The old “Request page language” setting has been removed - the new method is faster and more direct
  • No need to switch tabs or reopen the request builder

Now you can generate a GDPR, CCPA, or LGPD request page in your store’s language from the start - with just one step.

If you’re operating in more than one country or using Shopify Markets, this small change can help you localize your compliance setup with less effort.
