What’s New: From “Geolocation” to the New Regions Tab

We redesigned the entire section that controls where and how your cookie banner appears.

The new Regions tab gives you:

• A full list of all the countries your banner shows in
• The legal framework attached to each region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• A world map highlighting every active country
• A clearer structure for merchants selling into many markets

This layout makes it easier to see exactly where your banner is active and what rules apply.

How Smart Geotargeting Works

1. Enable Smart Geotargeting

Click on the Enable button and then -> Automate Compliance for me.

2. Consentmo automatically configures the correct banner per the selected region

The app applies the correct consent model by region. 

You can still customize any country manually, show a specific type of banner there or hide the banner altogether. 

3. Add your preferred custom region

Once enabled, from the Add region button you can easily add any location you prefer and your banner will start showing there immediately. You can also select the consent model you want to display for it.

Your Behavior tab updates

The Consent Model changes to: Smart Geotargeting which you can configure in detail via the Regions tab.

This keeps settings consistent across tabs.
